Duct-Line Express
The Duct-Line Express front end is expandable to a Full Coil Line system at any time. This practical solution includes an uncoiler (patent pending), feeder, straightener unit, beader, notching unit, and heavy-duty shear.
– Pneumatic back-up wheels at each coil station for safe band removal and positive coil feed
– Robust, gear-driven four (4) roll straightener with 4” diameter rolls
– Heavy duty notching unit with combination dies to provide Slip & Drive, TDX, Snaplock and Pittsburgh notch patterns
– Dual hydraulic cylinder shear with high carbon, high chrome D-2 shear blades. Fully adjustable heavy duty gibs allow for independent blade gap adjustment. Heavy duty torsion synchronization shaft insures proper shear angle throughout the stroke

– Ring type beading with SMACNA spacing

Duct-Line Express Shear-n-Bend

Lockseam Systems and Transfer/Feed Conveyor System
The VICON Lockseam and Transfer and Feed Conveyor system is built for ease of use and reliability. The system accepts beaded, notched, and sheared blanks and automatically forms the Pittsburgh or Snaplock seams. It then transfers the blank to the dual head cleat edge former or the dual head TDX rollformer. VICON’s “Accessible Design Concept” creates a system free of overhead devices, eliminating any possibility of miss-feeds or jams. This “open top” design allows feeding of oversize blanks to the TDX, liner and brake systems.
– Forms Pittsburgh and Snaplock seams automatically
– Female seams and male seams formed independently eliminating tapered edges and duct “twist”

– Quick changeover on female lock through the use of a rotating rollformer frame

Dual Head Cleat Edge Former
The VICON Dual Head Cleat Edge Former rollforms a 7/16” cleat edge on both ends of the duct.
– Cleats can be formed on either the short or long leg of L-section or full wrap duct
– Pneumatically operated bypass guides with wedge-grip conveyors allow blanks to be fed through for other types of duct connections

Dual Head TDX Rollformer
The VICON TDX Rollformer produces T-25 connections. Material is formed inside rather than outside for a smoother, safer edge.

Automatic Duct Liner Application System
The VICON Automatic Duct Liner Application System uncoils duct liner, applies liner adhesive to the sheet metal and automatically pins the liner to the sheet metal.
– Push button control allows fast, safe and easy threading and crop cutting
– Heavy duty liner shear with double-sided D-2 shear blade for extended life
– Rows of pins spaced to SMACNA standard for low and high velocity air flows (pin placement can be customized via the control system)

Full Wrap Automatic Brake System
The VICON Full Wrap Automatic Brake System is a heavy duty 5’ hydraulic bending unit. Vicon TDX full wrap lined duct
– Fast accurate bends, high production with Servo-driven front gauge gripper/ejector system
– Reliable “Time Based Logic” eliminates need of adjustments to external sensors
– Multiple safety features include manual gripper clamp override, manual brake cycling, and service mode control
– No adjustments needed when running lined versus unlined duct
Coil Handling System
With a VICON style drum mandrel, the VICON Coil Cradle System is an innovative solution for the easy loading of coils. The forklift is converted into a “coil loading truck” by holding the mandrel on the fork blades. Convenient removable coil keeper end plate is light enough for just one person to attach it to the drum mandrel. Coils will be spooled on VICON’s exclusive Coil Drum Assemblies for the fastest coil loading available (patent pending). The unit is designed with pneumatic “backup” wheels at each coil station for positive feed up of each coil and safe band removal on new coils. Roller track guiding system provided to guide the end of the desired coil up to the infeed guide ramp on the duct blanking system.
