Roper Whitney mechanical shears utilize a simple low maintenance design, coupled with an array of standard features for an attractive combination of high value and solid performance.
The 10M14 capacity is 14-gauge mild steel, 18-gauge stainless up to 121.25 inches in cutting length. The electro-mechanical design of the 10M14 provides quiet operation with low power consumption. The shear is initiated by a moveable footswitch. An oversized shield and toe kick plate are incorporated into the footswitch for added operator safety. The 10M14 is capable of 35 cutting strokes per minute.
The 10M14 Series shears are standard with a two-edge interchangeable top and bottom, high carbon, high chrome top and bottom blades, independent, self-leveling hold down with neoprene insert, single, continuous and jog stroke cycles, motor reverse switch, precision-machined table, with dual inch/metric inlaid bed scales and non-metallic gibs.
Non-metallic self-lubricating ram gibs ensure long life for the 10M14. Maintenance free self-lubricating bearings are standard.

Roper Whitney 10M14 series shears are available in a reduced price “Pro Package” configuration. The Pro Package includes: One four-foot squaring arm, slide out front support, and air operated sheet support system. Pro “R” system is for rear return; Pro “F” system is for front return. PX Series Shears
Pexto PX series mechanical shears utilize a low maintenance design, coupled with an array of standard features for an attractive combination of high value and solid performance.
The PX Series shears produce accurate distortion free shearing while minimizing material twist. These machines have an oversized motor and gear box making them capable of 45 strokes per minute. PX shears are ideal for high volume applications. The PX shears have a standard 30-inch powered back gauge system available. The ball screw driven back gauge provides quick, accurate cuts. The operator simply pushes a button to drive the back gauge to the proper position and can fine tune the dimension using the hand wheel. The PX Series shears standard features include four-edge, high carbon, high chrome blades, independent, self-leveling hold down feet with neoprene inserts, single, continuous and jog stroke cycles, motor reverse switch, precision-machined t-slotted table. The table also has a hand well with dual inch/metric inlaid bed scales. The PX Series incorporates non-metallic ram gibs and low maintenance Garlock bearings.
To enhance productivity, optional equipment available for the machine includes: five or ten-foot squaring arm, t-slotted front support arms, light beam and protractor attachments. The PX series can be delivered in a “Pro Package” configuration. The Pro Package includes: Five Foot Squaring Arm, Two Front Support Arms, Rear Drop Air Operated Sheet Support System and the 30″ Front Operated Powered Back gauge with Digital Readout.

Power Squaring Shears
Pexto power squaring shears provide features designed for shearing efficiently and accurately. Both the air (PA452) and hydraulically operated (PH452 and PH52) models have built-in ruggedness that will make them last for years.
The shears offer triple-action shearing which includes relief on both edges of the fixed and moving blades. The blade design eliminates blade-to-blade friction, provides “bite” to minimize sheet movement under shearing stress and produces double penetration in the cutting action. The shears will handle a 52″ sheet with a maximum rated capacity of 16 gauge mild steel.
The Pexto PA452 air shear combines all of the standard features of the 152K foot shear with the added convenience of air operation. The PA52 utilizes heavy-duty, tie-rod pneumatic cylinders, which provide up to 40 strokes per minute.
Pexto’s PH52 and PH452 feature compact, fully-integrated, hydraulically powered units that are ideal for many light gauge shearing applications. Pexto hydraulic power shears feature fast, smooth, oil-cushioned action. Both moving and fixed blades are made of high-speed steel. One-piece cast shear bed is recessed for easy sheet handling.
Standard equipment includes a precision rack and pinion back gauge and a solid finger guard. The PH52 also includes front and side gauges, bevel gauges and two front arms (optional on PA452 and PH452). The bed is machined for optional side extension squaring gauge.
Foot Squaring Shears
The Pexto No. 152 foot squaring shear is the industry’s most accurate. It is easy to operate and offers precise shearing, long life and dependability. Shatter-proof transparent finger guards are among its safety features. This machine is provided with precise gauging and hold-downs for cutting accuracy.
