Overview

Davi MAV Variable Geometry Plate Rolls are heavy-duty 3-roll machines designed for demanding plate rolling applications, particularly plate thicknesses of 3–4 inches and above. The MAV range is suited for forming thick plates and materials with medium to high yield and tensile strengths.

The MAV uses a variable geometry press-roll design with a vertically moving top roll and two horizontally adjustable side rolls. Similar to a press brake, the top roll presses the plate between the side rolls, combining high forming power with the versatility of a plate rolling machine.

Each side roll can move independently, allowing operators to adjust the distance between rolls and optimize leverage for different plate thicknesses, diameters, and forming requirements. This flexibility supports accurate pre-bending with minimal flat ends, reducing material waste.

Davi’s All-Rolls-Drive technology powers all three rolls for consistent torque transmission and improved plate grip. The patented Servo-Tronic system maintains roll parallelism, while hydraulic symmetry distributes forming pressure evenly across the plate for accurate, repeatable results.

All three rolls can tilt to accommodate cone forming, and the compact, reinforced frame provides stability during heavy-duty rolling operations. Davi’s flat gearbox technology and multi-gearbox configuration further support precision, flexibility, and maintainability.
