Overview

Tennsmith SR48P Powered Slip Roll is designed for production forming of curved sheet metal parts and tubes up to 16-gauge mild steel. Combining the features of the SR48 manual slip roll with an electric-powered drive, the SR48P provides efficient and consistent rolling performance for sheet metal fabrication applications.

Drive power is supplied by a heavy-duty industrial gear reduction motor and roller chain connected directly to the gear train. A toggle-action roll drive control and a shrouded foot pedal allow operators to start forward and reverse motion. An electromagnetic motor brake helps prevent roll creep and over-forming.

The SR48P incorporates several electrical and operator safety features, including full-length front and rear safety cables that stop the rolls when activated, two magnetic motor starters, and a fully enclosed electrical box with pilot light. Insulated reinforced conduit protects the wiring, while the fully enclosed drive train provides additional protection.

The rolls and gears are mounted in hardened bronze bushings for long service life and precise operation. With its rugged construction, powered operation, and integrated safety features, the Tennsmith SR48P is well suited for production sheet metal rolling applications.
