Roper Whitney Connecticut Straight Hand Brakes are floor-mounted manual bending brakes designed for accurate, dependable sheet metal bending. Available in multiple capacities and working lengths, the series provides an economical solution for a wide range of fabrication, architectural metal and roofing applications.
Connecticut Straight Brakes feature positive clamping pressure adjustment, apron stop rods for repeat bends, long operating handles for additional leverage, and a work support angle bar for full-capacity 1-inch minimum flange bending.
All-steel construction, heavy tie rods and adjustable apron hinges provide durability and help minimize deflection. A removable bending bar and angle increase versatility, while positive rear material gauge adjustment helps maintain consistent bending accuracy.
The Straight Brake Series includes the 816, 1014, 1016 and 1018 models, with bending capacities ranging from 14 to 18 gauge mild steel and working lengths up to 10 feet.
