Automated lockseam and conveyor system for forming Pittsburgh and Snaplock seams, with independent male and female seam forming and heavy-duty roller transfer conveyors.

Overview

The Vicon Lockseam System and Transfer / Feed Conveyor System automates the forming and transfer of Pittsburgh and Snaplock seams for duct fabrication. Male and female seams are formed independently to help eliminate tapered edges and duct twist while supporting fast, consistent production.

Heavy-duty roll form heads, large bearings with inner races and grease fittings, and chain-driven roller transfer conveyors are designed for dependable operation and long machine life. A positive roll form feed system helps maintain square formation, while quick-change features simplify setup for female lock and male button punch configurations.

The system also includes a material removal bypass for removing blank sheets for plasma cutting or other fabrication operations. Optional configurations and accessories are available to increase productivity and adapt the system to specific shop requirements.
